AyuNation.org is more so the brainchild of Haley, a webmistress who has been designing websites for 10 years. She began making fanlistings in 2003, and one day met Kay after adopting out a fanlisting to her. The two hit it off, and the rest is history! Well, to be more specific, the two started emailing each other and became friends through the online blog site LiveJournal, as well as AOL Instant Message. Kay also enjoyed building websites/fanlistings, and Haley and Kay soon became close friends.
Haley and Kay both had a couple major things in common, two of which were fanlistings and Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki. The obsession with Ayu, as she is called, began at different times for Haley and Kay, but they both shared a true love for her music. Fast forward to 2007. Haley noticed in April 2007 that she and Kay had many Ayumi-related fanlistings combined, and figured it would be a good idea to host them all on one domain. So, on April 30th, 2007 www.ayunation.org was bought and set up. Within the day, this collective was up and (partially) running.
The girls have some big ideas for both the collective, and the domain, so please keep watching for more developements as the site grows.
